Not a good experience We went to this school about ten years ago. I hope it has improved.
The instructor was actually trying to teach 4 different levels of class all at the same time. My wife and I were beginners with limited sailing experience. Others were very experienced and being taught more advanced sailing. It was hard to concentrate on what each level really needed. The classes were taught on a 43 foot boat. Much too large for a beginning class. Many things on the written exam at the end of the class were never covered either in the text book or in the classes. We passed the first two levels of ASA certification without really learning much about how to sail. Pretty much a waste of time and money.
We have since gone to a real school and are now proficient sailors. Comments [ 0 ] |
