Review: Great Class
During February 2008, I took the ASA 101 and 103 classes with Captain Bill Brooker and Captain Sara Allen. They are both knowledgeable instructors, and great people to work with. The cost was reasonable and the boats appeared to be in good condition. The only minor drawback was the on-shore class facilities for taking the written test, stools at a shore cafe. However, the instructors more than made up for this minor inconvenience by providing refreshments during the test. All the students in the 101 class received plenty of hands on sail time. In the 103 class, I was the only student, and received plenty of experience with afternoon winds approaching 20 knots. Not only did I have a great time, but I felt that I learned much about sailing from my instructors. Thank you very much for an enjoyable experience.
