Review: Sailing 101‏ with captain Jonathan Bloom.
I would like to leave a positive feedback for my sailing 101 course that I completed on 8/14 at the tradewinds sailing school.
Special thanks to my instructor, captain Jonathan Bloom.
I really liked his methods and coaching stile when every cadet on the boat was getting the theory and practice as much as needed and even more, until the material was fully digested.
In addition to learning experience, I had a lot of fun sailing!
I would definitely try to get into Mr. Bloom's class when the time comes to take my next course.

Review: ASA 101 - Basic Keelboat Certified and loving it!
After looking at a number of schools, I've settled on Tradewinds for the following reasons:
- They are cost competitive
- For the price to take the boat out for a day, you can take it out for the whole month. This is great as i want to sail as much as I can without burning a whole in my pocket.
- Not pushy
- Their have a wide range of older boats in the 28-32ft. This is important because it's what i'd likely be buying if i ever choose to buy a mono.

In either case, my son and I just got our ASA 101 - Basic Keelboat certification through them, with Jonathan Bloom the instructor. I can tell you that our instructor was great! He explained everything very well and helped us complete a 3 day class in 2 days. The 3rd day was spent practicing. I fully endorse Jonathan to anybody wanting to learn to sail. He was very methodical and great with newbies (we have never sailed before). His class was not a bootcamp but rather a great place to learn. Although there were drills, he was very nice and allowed us to make mistakes so that we can learn from them. All in all a very good experience.

We'll be going back to Tradewinds for further certifications this summer. Meanwhile we'll enjoy their amenities and sailing club privileges.

Review: Women's basic keel boat
I took the Basic Keel boat Women's course. I have my own boat and have sailed for a few years, however, I lacked confidence to take it over as skipper. I came to this course mainly for drills and an organized lesson progression (all those pieces I missed learning on my own with friends). It was great! We had a range of abilities between the 3 of us students and our instructor Maryann handled it very well. She was excellent with us and pushed all of us to succeed. I'm looking forward to applying my new skills back on my boat this summer!
Also... the rest of the staff that we interacted with during the 2 weekends were most friendly and welcoming and would answer any question you came up with. Beautiful new facility!

Review: Excellent Experience
I initially chose TradeWinds because I was looking for a school with good weather, a nice selection of boats, and instructors who were concerned with the craft of sailing instead of how you look with a sweater tied around your neck.

This school got flying colors on all counts. After graduation I joined their club and now I'm going back for more classes.

Absolutely first rate.

The instructors are excited to share their experience with students. Students who complete the courses sail with confidence.
