| Review: | Worth the Money We did our homework. My wife and I went to every school around the Bay. These guys really stood out. From the initial contact all the way through our first two courses. The instruction was fantastic. It was a little more expensive but it was well worth it! I would do it again in a heartbeat. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Can't compare.. This is the only school and club I've sailed with so I really can't compare. However, whether just plain good marketing or reality - OCSC has a great reputation among sailors. They have very good instruction if you want to take learning serious or let's say very serious. I would equate OCSC to the military schools of sailing in the SF Bay Area. The instructors vary in attitude, experience, and instructional aptitude. However, I would say that the younger instructors are much more focused on the good looking female students than others in each class. You can see their rates for boats and instruction online. Though more expensive then other places, you do get great value as they are dedicated to making sure you are a great sailor once you complete your certifications. I'm thinking about joining a different club as I don't see OCSC being very competitive in the quality and cost of chartering boats. I've seen many students move on to other local clubs just for better bareboat chartering. It isn't apparent that the school is about making money, I think all of their hearts are 100% into teaching sailing and playing an important part to the continuing sailing community in the area and across the country. | Review: | The obsolute best on San Fran Bay If you want to learn to sail with the ability to sail anywhere in the world then this is the school for you. OCSC has a high standard for its instructors which ensure that every student completes each course successfully. After I completed their course work up to and including coastal navigation. My wife and I spent a year sailing our own boat from SF bay to Ecuador, South America. We always seemed to know how to approach each situation and never really had any serious problems. OCSC was the start of our dreams. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Incredible instruction...worth every penny! If you learn at OCSC, you learn to sail with confidence. I had prior experience coming into their program but with the strong San Francisco Bay winds and their high standards, it made sense for me to re-learn a few things. They have the best student to instructor ratio with only three students and one instructor. Their location is right in the middle of they Bay so you also get the SF Bay experience to the fullest. I'm having so much fun and plan to go all the way through BBC with OCSC. They're the best. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Graduate School These people are serious -- about safety and about skill. I had ASA certs and 2 years of racing experience, and was slightly insulted that they encouraged me to start over in Basic Cruising. Now I have their USSA Bareboat and Coastal Certification and I -know- I can sail any boat, anywhere. One instructor wasn't a match, but then they have so many great ones, they just moved me to someone who fit me better. Comments [ 0 ] |
