Review: An excellent school
I purchased a beginner skipper package from the Jack London Square Boat Show for just under a thousand dollars, which included US Sailing's Basic Keelboat and Basic Cruising instruction along with a Bay Cruising Workshop. Among my excellent instructors included a professional delivery skipper and a veteran of the single-handed Transpac race from SF to Hawaii. I was so impressed by the quality of instruction and the friendliness of the staff that I joined the Club immediately after my classes were over! Definitely give Club Nautique a shot, and keep an eye out for their regular specials and package deals to save even more $$$.

Review: This place runs a tight ship.
I felt that Club Nautique level of instruction and professionalism stood out among other Clubs that I've seen. I took courses at one other US Sailing Club and scouted out at least 5 others. Club Nautique didn't try to tout themselves as the best, they simply gave me some facts that convinced me to take their course. My instructor was extremely patient in explaining everything. I felt very confident after finishing Basic Cruising. They also let you charter their boats with a BC certification. If you don't feel comfortable yet being on your own you get a free review. Their boats are top-notch. Mostly Hunters and Jeunneaus. They all look brand new and sail well. The Membership director was very informative without being pushy. I have finished the first 3 courses in the US Sailing series with them and have only great things to say. A definite recommendation.
